The Section is involved in an ongoing process to clarify and codify Advanced Competencies in Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technology. A poster describing a set of competencies was presented in Boston-2021. A poster describing the objectives “beneath” each competency will be presented in San Diego-2022. It can be viewed/downloaded below:
The Section Leadership believes that it is in the best interest of the Section to change the composition of the nominating committee. This would increase the influence and participation of the Vice-Chair in selecting qualified and willing Diplomates to present for election to the Executive Committee. The composition of the Nominating Committee would consist of the Past-Chair, The Chair and the Vice-Chair if this amendment is accepted/passed.
